John Petrucci on lead Guitar, John Myung on bass, Jordan Rudess on keys, and Mike Portnoy on drums. Each playing member of this band is prodigal and they write some the most incredibly intense and insane works of technical godliness that one can really only get from a band like Dream Theater. I love these guys to the point of obsession and am going to get their new album tonight. I've seen them three times and they blew me away each time. I can't wait to see them on their new tour.
I do believe that Dream Theater is metal's best kept secret. All the bigger and more popular bands like Shadows Fall and Trivium worship them.
BTW, you forgot to mention James LaBrie, who is the coolest lead singer both in the studio and live on stage.

That sounds like a large dream! The MJ one sounds extremely candy although. i've got had various desires related to the dying of Gerard way for some reason. don't know about 'the best'...but pretty darn impressive. dream theater has such a unique sound, and one cannot deny the talent therein. god, i haven't thought about dream theater in ages. now i am going to have to download some. thanks!! : )

although i do like them, i don't think they are the best. it just depends on what you prefer. good live band.
