It's normal. I didn't get to drive alone until about 6 months after I got my license. They trust you, its the other people out there that they don't trust. Hang in there... the time will come.

Don't end your life over such a small thing as driving a car. There is a solution to your problems. You just need to find it. Get a full time job like they want you to. Once you have it, open a bank account. Don't tell anyone about it. And don't leave the deposit slips out. Keep them in a safe place where no one looks. Save as much money as you can. When you have saved up about $1200. go rent an apartment without telling anyone, even your parents. Then keep the apartment for about 1 or 2 months and make sure you can pay for it and the utilities. Then tell your parents about it and tell them you feel that you are old enough and responsible enough and you would like to try living on your own. Ask them if they would like to help you decorate your apartment. Perhaps your dad would help you carry the heavy stuff up the stairs or help you buy a tv when you are ready. Don't leave them out, just do what you need to quietly, so no one gets in the way of it, THEN tell them.

do you know how many people get in accidents. I'm sure they just want you to be ready when you're out there. just think about being in accident in a car. your driving a tone of metal and it can crush you or someone else. so be careful out there. show that you take all the safety precautions when driving. realize also that insurance costs money and so does a car. driving is not a right its a privilege.

Honey it's very normal for parents to be scared to let kids drive by themselves maybe if there is a store close by you could ask to go there a few times. I remember the first time I let my daughter drive out of town by herself was to take her boyfriend home. In less than 20 minutes I got a car Mom I just wrecked my car. I said is everyone okay yes I guess but Mom you don't understand my car rolled about three times. She also ended up losing part of her memory for a few weeks. I blamed myself from letting her go. They are just worried about you honey

they only want to keep you safe, and teenagers die in car accidents every day. offer to run an errand to the market for 20-30 min, and return straigtht home with no extra stops. prove you can do it safley and you may get more freedom. But don't try to get the car to go out with friends, its too big a distraction for a new driver.

Give them a reason to trust you. Give them a reson why they should let you drive alone. They just care for your safety, driving can be pretty dangerous.
