do you guys make up a clear picture in your mind of the places and people. and isnt it conforting how you make it up and you stay home and just reading is conforting. no??? am I the only one who feels reading at home is conforting and warming??

Yes reading at home is very comforting, well sometimes even adrenhaline provoking if your book is scary or exciting. i do always make up the picture sin my minds too. if they describea character as a blond, i dont know why, but my characters alwys have brown hair, which is my color. lol

I'm told I read a lot. It's the best way to pass time in many waiting rooms and areas, and of course at home, so I take a book along. No, I don't generally make up pictures in my head, but many places described in books remind me of places I've been, so I picture them and then adjust to the writer's descriptions. It is comforting to read some books, exciting to read others, and almost always thought-provoking--and one doesn't have to set the VCR or Tivo, nor does one have to schedule around when it's available.

Your not alone. I find it most enjoyable to put myself into the book as the main character. Plus, I love reading and at home is the most comfortable place to do it.
