I beleive that Earth's orbit around the Sun will decay. As the planet moves closer to the Sun, the atmosphere and water will begin to evaporate at faster rates. I believe that we will, in the future, be in roughly the same position as Mars and that Mars will then be much closer to the Sun. The outer planets will then be closer to the Sun. The gaseous planets will form atmospheres and liquid pools. Life is likely to emerge on what we now know as the gas giants.
How we respond to the motion of the solar system will determine if we survive and how we will do so.

The Rapture isn't in the Bible, I've checked. The Book of Revelation says that bad stuff happens, the Antichrist tries to get everybody's soul, and tortures everyone else. Jesus comes back, kills the Antichrist and his followers, and the devoted followers of Jesus go to heaven. If the Rapture is true, it creates a discrepancy. The purpose of the Apocalypse is to weed out the nominal Christians, and the Rapture is like saying that we're taking the good people off the earth to go to heaven before the Apocalypse happens. If that's true, then why do we need an Apocalypse? Why not take all the good people off, and let Satan have everyone else? And once you throw predestination into the mix, one wonders if there's any point in a final judgment, since God would already know who would do the right thing. It's so confusing, isn't it?

it happened before, according to the bible. i believe all you christians are speaking about things you cant comprehend, there is a spiritual life ahead of us, something that happend a few years back convinced me beyond the shadow of a doubt. when i tell my christian friends about it, they just nod their heads and smile. the very thing that they preach to others about, they wont believe when it really happens. it only confirms what ive thought since i was little, church people are going thru the motions on sunday. they stand, sit, kneel at the proper times and recite scriptures mindlessly as they are waiting for the service to end. they shake hands with the pastor on the way out, then everything theyve done wrong for the week is ok. woops, sorry, i got carried away. yes the thought hits me often, the world will end as all planets do, what happens between now and then is speculation at best. i no longer fear death, its just how its going to happen that bothers me. bye.

I don't believe in the Rapture personally (one of the benefits of being an Agnostic)...
But the way things are going with the planet these days - perhaps the End of Days are already upon us (or will be within our lifetimes).
Where my belief differs is that I feel it is within MANKIND's ability to prevent many of these tragedies - though most of are actions are too little, too late...

Of course it will. I believe. The Bible says so. And the Bible is true. I believe. I don't have proofs but I believe it.
