Yes it will work on your motherboard. It can play many games but usually at low resolution and low quality settings. Take note of the lean architecture of the graphics processor, only 4 pixel pipelines. You can have better performance w/ 7300GT (8 pixel pipelines) or the 7600GS (12 pixel pipelines) since they have fast v-ram also.

AGP slots and PCI-E slots look allot alike, but the AGP slots are pushed in farther. My best guess is that you have an AGP slot. As for the video card, i wouldn't buy it if you are planning on running games. Look for a card with DDR3. I think this card only has DDR and will be very slow, not to mention it's other specs. It is sad but video cards for AGP are getting outdated. PCI-E slots are where it is at now.

YES! That is an AGP slot and can use AGP cards like the Radeon 9600.

As far as how good the 9600 is I couldn't tell you.

Yes, the card will work on your motherboard.

No, it will not be enough to play most of today's games. That card is rather slow. It will play some if you lower the quality of the games to their lowest settings.

If you want a good cheap card from ebay, look for the ATI Radeon X850 Pro. Decent fast card.

That motherboard doesn't seem to exist according to ASUS, are you sure? Though both cards are PCI-Ex so you should be OK.
