ok, so she's not a PhD, but there's gotta be more than this for all these women to post negative comments about her? Is it envy? Are feminists envious because they are not beautiful? need some 411 on this.

No. We hate her because she's a spoiled brat who gets fame for her father being rich. While she just walks around as a blonde bimbo making the rest of us look bad. "Walmart? Do they sell walls?" I mean, come on! She's an idiot and she has no self respect. The real question is how can you like a girl who's got no self respect, is as ugly as a stick, mooches off her daddy, and is as dumb as a rock? Call me crazy, but she doesn't seem like the idealistic girl.

I don't hate her. I think most people would consider that her wealth would have granted her a bit more grace than she shows though. The truth is she acts just as stupid as any young, beautiful, single girl, only she has a million cameras on her while she is acting stupid. Of course she relishes this attention, but I think the latest think going on with jail and her DUI's is why was she driving in the first place? She's got enough money to hire a driver. Whether you hate her or not, it would be a tragedy if she had gotten in an accident and killed someone or herself. I think if a few weeks in jail can help her conceptualize that then it is for the best.

For me it is the fact that she represents what most of us women do not want anyone to think of us as: slutty, uncaring, very materialistic, etc.... Here she is this beautiful, rich, talented, etc... woman. She has the world at her feet and what does she do with it? She is self-destructive and although she puts on a show that says she has it all together, she has low self esteem. Right now she sits in jail b/c she cannot control herself enough to either have a driver or not drink. I mean come on. If she would get it together and do something more with her life and all that she has, besides party and show her crotch, I think the women of the world would embrace her and respect her. She has the power to do so much that many of us would love to do, world hunger, peace, etc... So, call it envy, jealousy, what ever you want, but the fact remains that this beautiful woman needs someone that really loves her and will tell her the truth about herself, then love her enough to stay with her while she is getting the help she needs.

I love Paris I think she's freakin hilarious. I do think she deserves what she got as far as jail because you just can't be driving drunk, but I mean whatever the girl is young and rich I would be doing crazy **** too. I think a lot of women are jealous of her but its not a beauty thing Paris lives the life of a princess and what girl doesn't want that.

Feminism aside we all wish we didn't HAVE to work, I think I would still have a career of some sort but how great would it be to NEVER have to struggle financially EVER!!

What an offensive question. To start with, I don't hate Paris Hilton. What I dislike about her, and other people who do the same, is her gross ignorance, her lack of tact and class and the fact that she is a celebrity solely for her looks. She is a terrible role model and perpetuates the notion that women are little more than sex objects. I don't "hate" her because I'm catty and dislike women who are better looking then myself. Looks are fleeting. How dare you get online and post such an accusatroy sterotypical question. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Calling feminists ugly or fat or lesbian is a form of mysogny. I am not a feminist in the modern sence but if I am the least bit assertive men jump on my case and call me names. And assume I'm not getting sex or that I must be angry for being ugly, etc. It's infuriating. When a man is upset about something I don't automatically insult his penis size and assume he's bitter for being small or that he must be suffering "tetosterone flair syndrome" It's just aggravating.

No, quite honestly any woman can look good with expensive make-up and hair extensions.
I don't like her simply because she is an air-head that thinks she's above the law and when she gets finally caught out, that's when she tries to act all sweet and innocent, and for all of her money(which she hasn't earned anyway) she hasn't done anything useful in this society and is setting a bad example.

I'm not envious of the woman. But I'm really against how she thinks that after her behavior, she should get away with it. The same goes for all those who think they are above the law. I know people with the same situation, and they got harsh sentences. Money and an ego just is not cool. The law is the law, no matter how much money or who you are. That's the way it should be, morally and ethically!!!

NO its because the idiotic comments she makes, how many times do we have to hear "that's hot". But what really got me is the plea she made to the court that she provides excitement and fashion to the average Americans mundane life. She is worthless as a role model, and I think everyone should ignore her and Lindsey

i'm not envious in the least. i just think she's a spoiled brat who needed to spend more time getting smacked, and less with the nanny. no way my father will be a hotel multi-millionare and i disgrace him and my family's name by allowing a slutty sex tape leak out into the public?? i don't care she made it...but letting it leak?? that's just raunchy.

also, i worked in the criminal system. another person normally gets locked up after the second probation violation (usually not the first). so her sentence was more than fair (considering it was alcohol related). she simply is a disgraceful screw up. and to have to report to jail yet finding time to dress up like Barbie and prance to the MTV Movie Awards?? i would be too embarassed of my actions to do anything like that. so i am not envious of the chick, i just think that she has a ton of growing up to do. she lacks any sort of humility. hopefully she will grow out of it...
