A good diesel mechanic can pretty much work anywhere. Maybe you need a change of scenery? Like work in a different state with different territory?

1st get your ged then maybe go to teck school and master a few trades. Even with your ged you can get some better jobs. But dont sell your self short with a ged and the experience you have you could do something big. I feel the same way I have my diploma and I work in glass. I use to love it but it has got so complicated I just cant stand it any more. I want something better but I can afford school. I was going to be a medical assistant I started school and was making straight As for once I was so proud but then I started going through a divorce and couldnt afford it and I didnt finish and cant afford to go back. I really wish I could. Maybe someday.

some days I wonder why I chose my career, especially when someone dies and I couldn't save him or when it's a little kid that's hurt; some days I think it would be easier to do something else. But I've worked really hard to get to where I'm at, and I'm still working hard to go further. And ultimately, dispite all the bad, I love my job.

If you are unhappy with your job and life, then you have two choices: 1) sit around whining about it, being unhappy, or 2) do something about it, make a change.

Do what you need to do...I would really have liked to stay in the law field but not too many decent attorney's where I live and that makes a difference, you have to do what you think is right for you and make sure you know what is important to you. I like my job now and wouldn't trade it for the world..Not too hard and pretty good money, enough to keep me happy.
