Um, first of all, Simple Plan IS emo, so if you're looking for bands like Simple Plan, but don't want any emo bands, you're not going to come up with a lot of results.

Secondly, if you're looking for good lyrical content, there are bands like My Chemical Romance and Bright Eyes that are easy to get ahold of but are still deep and lyrically sound. Also, there are bands that are more indie and harder to find, but have amazing lyrics. Bands such as Say Hi To Your Mom, Mum, Sigur Ros, The Microphones, and Scientist, just to name a few.

Hope this helps.

Well, given that Simple Plan are nothing but a bunch of crybabies who do nothing but ***** about not having a girlfriend or not getting laid, I would say that some good bands include Def Leppard, The Killers, Sum 41, PANIC! at the Disco, Fall Out Boy, Billy Talent, and as some would argue, My Chemical Romance.

first i would say i don't really think simple plan is a good band. and if your into those kind of music then you would probably like yellowcard, +44, and sum 41. i personly hate those bands but whatever.

New Found Glory. Get the album Catalyst. There's a lot of good songs on it, and that's it. Get into Hardcore it's much more empowering, and means soo more.
