Photosynthesis occurs in plants like ferns, trees, bushes, etc. and algae.

It is not exactly the same. Both involve chemicals being changed by electrons. One uses an electric current, and one uses light energy. A lead acid battery uses an electric charge from a flow of electrons to break down chemicals like lead sulfate into pure metal (lead) and sulfuric acid molecules in a water solution. Rechargeable batteries have a similar process with different chemicals. Photosynthesis is a process where the energy of photons in light will change chlorophyll and knock off electrons and change the electric charge of compounds of elements like carbon, hydrogen and oxygen to make them more susceptible to combination to form sugars, starches and water molecules. This is the photoelectric effect as described by Einstein in his Nobel prize paper.

as u should noe, photosynthesis is the synthesis of complex organic materials, esp. carbohydrates, from carbon dioxide, water, and inorganic salts, using sunlight as the source of energy and with the aid of chlorophyll and associated pigments. plants use photosynthesis to produce food.
plants take in sunlight, use sugar and carbon dioxide to produce oxygen.

You're kidding, right? Green plants, water, sun, grow & give off oxygen. Simple enough?
