I asked 4 questions before the NFL Draft, on who was the best QB in the Draft. 8-10 said it was Russell, and if the Raiders didnt selected him, that would make them the dumbest team in the league, ok. well after we all saw what happened to Brady Quinn, and how most of us felt sorry for him for being skipped by mostly every team, why is it that everybody know says that Quinn is the one who will be better in the League, after eveyone jumped in the ban wagon. Sure the Browns also got a LT, but with no experience. and yeah Quinn is the most prepared rookie this year, but tell that to the Steelers and Ravens and bengals. Even Mel Kiper made Russell the Best QB. What is wrong with these NFL fans who really dont know much? except to jump from team to team(NE).

jamarcus russell has a million times more upside than brady quinn, and has more physical talent (quinn is faster though). but i think that each team got the qb that they wanted. cleveland got the hometown hero that can start right away (charlie weis did have him learn a pro offense, thats for sure). i think hes overrated though. then theres russell, who has a huge arm that al davis likes. they can ease him into starter. i don't like this qb class as much as last years, but theres talent

Go by the facts my man. Maybe four days ago on NFL Live, it was said that Mr. Quinn has been shaky so in the few practices they have had while Russell has somewhat got a grasp of what he has to do in Oakland.
I agree, they both will be good, but the cameras showed those ducks Quinn was throwing. Again its just camp, but he is a "rookie" also and no matter how "game ready" he is, he's still a rookie who is just as unproven as Russell.

dude mel kiper is an idiot, yeah anyalzying the draft picks is his profession but more than half the time hes not so great at it. He said mike williams would be great and hes been a bust. Anyway, I think Russell could be good but he'll struggle in oakland since they're o-line and offense period sucks so bad. Quinn has tons of potential and is the most ready and knows offense since he played under charlie weiss at notre dame. But playing for a developing team like cleveland will take some time. So in conclusion russell will be average but will struggle a lot, and Quinn will be good but not great in the nfl. but who knows we'll see, thats just my prediciton.

well I think personally that the raiders were stupid for taking russel and it will come back to bite them.
they should have taken calvin jonshon the most READY PLAYER for the NFL.
fact of the matter is is that Russell played in a league with no REAL shut down corners-the kind he's gonna face on a daily basis in the NFL. raiders could have taken johnson THEN a qb in the second.
Russell is all hype and gained all his fame from beating up on a really crappy ND team..the same ND team that had 3 10 LOSS TEAMS on its schedule.
beating up on them is nothing to be proud of.

All the different opinions are part of the game. Considering the teams they have, it is hard to say which QB will do better next season. I would say Quinn because the Browns are jsut a bit better than the Raiders overall but specially because of their acquisition of Jamal Lewis.

i think they sould have pick up quinn cause he always won the only reason they picked russel is cause they think he is the next culpepper or vince young but raider have never been good at picking qbs hell they had said that about tubo and walter and we know what happen there..hell just look at all qb draft picks nothing has ever panned out they have all been bombs
