What are some ways that people waste WATER?

I leave the shower on so my cat can play in it. She loves water. But I'm paying the water bill so it evens out I guess, lol. It's not like the water company is going to show up and tell me I need to stop using so much water because the world is running out of it.

There are too many to name. I think the most excessive waste to pools. You can shower, and clean yourself. I dont understand the waste of water in a pool just for entertainment purposes.

They let the water run when washing face or hands in the sink. When they take really long showers. When they only wash a couple of garments in the wash instead of a fool load.

2.Not adjusting the sprinklers to hit the lawn in stead of the side walk.
3.Leaving the water running when washing dishes, instead of using a dishpan.
3.Washing down the sidewalk instead of sweeping.
