I am a Red Sox fan and even I think the Yankees are still much alive... An example of the situation they are in right now is back in 1978, the Red Sox and the Yankees were going for first place in their division. The Yankees were 14½ games behind the Red Sox in July, and in September, after completing a 4-game sweep of the Red Sox the Yankees tied for the divisional lead. This shows the Yankees have come back in the past and can do it again... So I wouldn't be so sure about this being the end of the Yankees there is still a lot of games left to play in the season and they could make a comeback... So I wouldn't keep your hopes up... I hope this is the end for the Yankees but we can't be too sure if it is or not... The Yankees have a great lineup and the best slugger in the league (Alex Rodriguez) so I'm going to keep this simple "anything can happen" lets just hope it doesn't and that this may result in the end of the Yankees this year!
The Yankees starting staff for pitching isn't that great and the bullpen hasn't helped out at all this year... If they think Roger Clemens (Rocket) is going to improve their starting staff this well might be the end of the Yankees. The Yankees are a great hitting team but they need to work on their fielding... If they don't improve in their defense and only have a good offense I don't think they have much of a chance of doing anything good this year...
I am not going to say that this is the end of their entire organization for years to come... I just think that this may be the end of the Yankees this year if they don't do anything productive soon!
WHERE IS ROGER?
WHERE IS ROGER?
WHERE IS ROGER?
GO SOX!!!!!

Boy doesn't that sound beautiful. Then there wouldn't be as much media attention focused on them. I only hope they can keep up the losing. It makes me feel so good to see that a team with the highest payroll and expectations fall to teams that don't have the combined salary of three of the Yankees players. Also seeing Roger Clemens hurt (Nothing against Clemens himself) after the Yanks sign him to a huge contract. It makes them look like fools to hire an old injury prone player that can only help them every few games. By the way for those who say that it is not too late. It is, they are not going to get the wild card since it is going to come out of the Central, and Boston shows no signs of slowing. As Jim Morrison said "THIS IS THE END". GO TRIBE

No. Absolutely not. It's not possible. They're not "ending." They've barely just begun. It's one season. And there may be a lot of ground to cover, but they can end up on top by the end of the season! Anything is possible for the Yankees. They have great hitting, pretty good fielding. (Couple of errors, yeah, but every team has errors.) They need to focus on pitching. Rocket is going to be back soon, but the Yankees need a lot more than one pitcher. They have to stop with the rookie starters, considering you never know what's going to go on with them. They need to get a hitter or two out of his slump.(Bobby needs to get his self esteem up. The only reason he's slumping is because he thinks he's letting down people...Poor Bobby.) THEY NEED A BETTER BULLPEN. Mo is a great closer, he's better now than he was in April. But Torre brings out every reliever he can find. These relievers, they don't prove themselves to be too good under pressure.
The Yankees can pick themselves up. I know they can.
Yankees Love. <3

As a matter of fact, the yankees are now jinxed (pretty much like the cubbies).
They have NOT won a world series since they got a-rod.
So yes, the yankees are at the beginning of thier end. They are now destined to be losers forever and ever. Amen.

I wish I could say yes but it is way too early to tell....now if the standings look like this in mid August you can count them out. Anything can happen...and remember Big George will pay anything at the trade deadline to get back in it.

I wish, but it will be a different team by the trading deadline, and not just Clemens replacing someone. Counting them out now is foolish.
