24 is the best drama show ever, in my opinion. But you NEED to start with season 1. Rent or buy the DVDs. I guarantee you will be hooked from the first episode.
It's hard to give a summary.. but it is a high-action show which takes place in real time. The setting is Los Angeles and centers around the fictional CTU (Counter Terrorist Unit).. The main protaganist is Jack Bauer who is, simply put, THE MAN. It is not supernatural, or science fiction, like a lot of the other shows you seem to be interested in, but some of the things that happen ARE questionable reality-wise. That's just part of the experience though. 24 is an awesome show.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It's all about Buffy and her friends fighting the forces of darkness in Sunnydale, CA. It's a great show, and some episodes are actually creepy. When it was still on TV, I would get sucked in and couldn't wait for the next episode. Give it a shot!

yay for Supernatural (amazing show!)...I also watch the Dead Zone which is coming back with an all new season on June 17th...I also love Without a Trace <--GREAT show! :)
