trying to find details of my father's death ..........he passed away while in the care of st. joseph hospital in ft. wayne, indiana.........his name was Michael Dean Harris.......so if you have any information regarding this, please contact me........thank you!

Try contacting the local news paper in that area. They should have or know who does have archive on micro film from that era. These days, those records are also ussually stored on a computer data base for ease.

I have lived in the Fort Wayne area all of my life and disagree with Carmella: St. Joseph is not a 'crappy' hospital (although, like all other 'for-profit' hospitals, it's not as good as it once was when it was a parochial hospital). If hospital records aren't helpful, try the archives of the Ft. Wayne Journal-Gazette or Ft. Wayne News-Sentinel. My uncle once had a business partner named Michael Harris, but he (my uncle) passed away in the early 1980's. I hope you find the information you need. -RKO- 06/04/07

not surprising, that is a crappy hospital
try the allen county health department they may refer you to the corenor's office how should have record of the details of his death
