http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=ArOS9Fii6_TrU68W4Br71MLfMBV.?qid=20070604171213AAQ3bQj

The school, teachers, head , school board and parents have no other excuse then a perverted attempt to get a teenger pregnant...

its their job to make sure the teenagers know EVERY SINGLE THING THERE IS TO KNOW ABOUT SEX...

BEFORE

THEY ARE CAPABLE OF DOING IT SO NO MISTAKES.

Note its not the kids fault... it was the job of those old enough to know better and in the position of responsibity to inform and make sure its taught over and over till certain it suck in.

Parents responsibility?

actually its both... each should give a weekly exam in what the other taught.

IE its BOTH their jobs, both should do it to fill in the gaps

A typical parents idea of sex ed involved this from a friends parent.

Son, about girls...

Its second hole from the back, be careful and use a french letter.

Would not be suprised if he went to the post office to ask for one.

Funny how whenever anyone say parents should to it, they are the kind of parents who dont do it till the kid is 25 with 3 kids

THE SCHOOLS JOB WAS TO TEACH AND TEST KIDS BEFORE AGE 11... BIT LATE AFTER SO THEY KNOW EVERY WAY YOU CAN GET PREGNANT FROM GETTING FINGERED WITH SPERM COATED FINGERS.

DRY FKING IE RUBBING UP AGAINST EACH OTHER IN UNDERWEAR THINKING LACY PANTIES WILL REPLACE CONDOMS.

HOW BLOW JBS WORK.

HOW YOU CAN GET PREGNANT FIRST TIME, B4 FIRST PERIOD, FROM COME SHOTS, SPERM COMMING OUT OF BUTT AND GOING BACK IN... IE TH WORKS...

AND BOTH PARENTS AND TEACHERS SHOULD DO IT PRE PUBERTY.

aND COVER DATING, REALTIOSHIPS, FEELINGS, HOW TO HANDLE BEING DUMPED, CHILD BIRTH, LOOKING AFTER BABIES, THE WORKS

YOU SAY SHE ASKED HERE?

AND WHAT GUARANTEE IS THERE SHE GOT THE RIGHT ANSWER. ITS HOW MYTHS LIKE CANT GET PREGNANT STANDING UP START

It isn't the school's duty. It is the duty of the PARENTS.

NO

THIS IS BECAUSE

a) Teachers er teach and have proffesion tool, props etc to help them teach

b) the important one... MOST PARENTS DON'T DO THEIR JOB. THEY SAY ITS THEIR JOB THEN DONT DO SAID JOB TILL ITS TOO LATE AND THEY ARE A GRANNIE.

OR WAIT TILL THIER SON AND DAUGHTER ARE NICKNAMED STUD, HORE, HOSE, MATRESS, BIKE AND VACUME BEFORE THEY MENTION THE WORDS BIRDS AND BEES.

C) PARENTS ARE NORMALLY LOUSEY AT DOING THIS... NOT GOING INTO ANY LEVEL OF DETAIL, BEING ALL EMBARRASSED, AS MENTIONED LEAVING IT TO LATE.

D) SEX ED MUST, MUST COVER A-L-L ASPECTS IE FOREPLAY, BJS, HANDJB, TIE UP GAMES, LICKING OUT, FINGERS, PORN, VIBRATORS, TOSSING OFF, KISSING, MAKING OUT, FEELING UP, HOW TO TAKE OFF A BRA ONE HANDED, CHILDBIRTH, STDS, HOW EXACTLY TO USE CONTRACPETIVES AND ALL THE PITFALLS OF MESSING IT UP, ETC.

HOW MANY PARENTS DO THAT? Most do f all

We need to go a little broader than suing the schools. Start with Lyndon Johnson who kicked off the Great Society - "the government will take care of you." Then with all the elected officials who enacted all the laws which gave parental rights to schools. Next move to the feminists who decided that motherhood was less important than money - "get out of the house, go to work, be productive." The ones who advertise every gadget on TV that no home should be without could be added to the list. They fuel the whole motherhood/work thing. Next sue every American who puts self before country or community - they're the selfish ones who haven't corrected this situation already. Sue yourself too, you made the mistake of believing in government. I guess that's about it. Go, sue, prosper!

This appears to be an ongoing Q & A session I've dropped onto by accident. Reading all of the question several times I'm at a loss to what is actually being asked. Why if anyone is so driven to ask something do they not read their own question and make corrections, or to explain more fully and in general act resposibly to the masses who can read their ramblings on here.
I can't sort out the question, therefore I won't try to answer it...............

I beg to differ - first of all, many believe it's the parents' role to teach kids about sex. And second of all, is it really the schools' fault if the kids aren't interested in learning? Are you going to sue the schools every time a kid doesn't pay attention and can't answer a question.

If you want to make a difference, go back to university, get a teaching degree, and you teach them!

I don't think it is fair to blame the schools if kids don't know everything about sex. It is the job of the parents, not the teachers, to teach children about sex.
Unfortunately too many parents have the mentality that if they don't talk about sex with their kids (or drugs or any other "uncomfortable" topic) then it just goes away. They think that if they discuss these topics that it will just give the kids ideas of things to do.
It's a sad state.

Where the hell are you coming from???........actually, think I've just answered my own question there........

I am a trained nurse, trained Advocate, and Aunt to 4 teenagers and one 21 year old.........So I am sure I can answer your 'question' - without the 'need' to call upon anyone to be 'beaten up' or 'sued'.........

It is 'not' the responsibility of the 'state' (ie: schools, government) to teach our own children about the basics of life, love, morality, honesty..................It is 'our responsibility' to make sure that the children in our families are good people/citizens/'whatever' you wish to call it......I choose the term - 'good people'...............

Are you wanting some form of 'nanny state' where everything is 'dictated' to us...........hmmmmm, maybe that would take the responsibility off your 'shoulders' ??

Seriously, stop looking for somebody/something 'else' to pin the blame on .............start taking responsibility............

Sue the anti abortionist. They are the ones who do not want sex education in school!

I have seen kids walk into an ER in labor...and they didn't even know they were pregnant.

why on earth do people think there's knowledge about your health that you shouldn't have because you're too young?

if you're 10 years old, you should know what happens when you have sex.

schools are definitely the place to learn this. sex is separate from love. you don't teach kids love, you teach them biology.

if you can understand what happens, you should know aboutit. it could save your life.

Let's not forget about the parents' responsibility for this, either. In most schools, sexual education is a voluntary program. It is not meant to be a substitute for parental guidance.
