Now its clearly a Seattle story on a Seattle star, but the quotes are prophetic, are they not?

(This is a SG link, btw)

I guess Ray Allen really did nail that thing head on. I just wished that the Lakers should have hung on to Caron Butler just when Kobe started to pass more this season.

But I agree though, with the current fiasco Kobe is in now, it's clear that's he's deteriorated more personally as a person with his antics and mood swings. I'm a Lakers fan and I like Kobe because he's our star player, but I'm not that enamoured about him as a person.

Ray Allen does indeed have the right to say that he "told us so" right now

Ray Allen played Nostradamus in this interview. He did foresee the future and Kobe is doing the same exact thing in the interview fast forward 3 yrs later. Ray must know Kobe because they had a lot of match ups against each other and they entered the league together. But it's the same s#@t different day for Bryant. He has the talent but he is so selfish that he thinks he is a gift from the heavens. His head and ego is so big that no one can deflate it. He is a walking time bomb for the LAL. It was a big mistake to listen to him and trade Shaq. It is also questionnable for Nike to give him his own line of shoes and apparel with his questionnable team rapport and off court issues. He should have succeeded Barkley in the "I am not a role model" ad. Because it definitely suits KB24 to a tee.

Yes, Ray Allen correctly predicted the scenario of Kobe in a Shaq-less Lakers. It's been unfolding the past 3 seasons. Nice observation there.

He certainly is correct on a few points, but it wasn't Kobe's fault that Butler was traded after one year for Kwame Brown.

Kobe even expressed his shock at Butler being traded to the Wizards, and Allen pointed out specifically in that article the importance of Caron Butler to the Lakers' post season performance.
