I find it so sad that conservatives have, since 2000, insulted the Americaness of individuals (Democrats) who disagree with the slightest thing. The party has really come off as bitter and hate filled.
Anyone have any good answers or thoughts?

They are losing. You're going to see more and more of this unfortunately. It's called desparation and grasping. Unfortunately, they have learned from their former leader, Nixon. And, someone like cheney really exemplifies that hatefullness, bitterness, arrogance and contempt for anyone who thinks differently than he does.

Now my personal opinion is that some of the more outspoken Democrats & their leaders have made outlandish comments. These comments get responses such as "there are those American haters" or "anyone who doesn't believe this is an American hater". That's not to say that all Democrats feel the same way the people representing their party do. Unfortunately, the comments are directed to shall we say the squeaky wheels. I am a Republican and I don't feel that Democrats are American haters but I have to strongly disagree with some high ranked Democrats. Also, I think that in both situations things are taken out of context & blown way out of proportion by the media both the liberal media and the conservative media.

Because the USA is and always has been a Capitalist Republic and the Democrats want to change it into a Socialist Democracy. Socialism is synonymous with Communism. Democrats somehow think it's a good idea to trash civil liberties such as freedom of speech, They are actually working to censor conservative talkshows. I guess the truth is devastating to their case so they are trying to find a way to stop it since they don't have any logical arguments supporting their cause. That is the reason I'm beginning to be concerned with the level of unintelligence in the Democratic party. It's like they don't have a foundation from which they base their decisions. Their core belief systems are flawed and incorrect. I seriously hope that some people start to wake up and really think these things thru. Every time I see a poll of Bush's disapproval rating it tells me exactly the number of people who aren't thinking. And it's not the people who disapprove who are correct. I've seen large numbers of people wrong where only a few were right before.

Well, it's not new.

When I was young, anyone who questioned policies such as mass murder were "commies".

Now we're terrorists who hate American.

Sad?

I find it anti-American, but then I'm a pinko commie terrorist who hates America (or so I'm told), so what do I know?

I guess the biggest difference is that now it's about 87% of Americans who are terrorists who hate America (given that almost everyone disagrees with Bush on almost every issue).

It's a wonder that that vast majority of terrorist-citizens haven't, you know, commited terrorist acts.

This worse version really started in the 80's, with hate radio.

I suspect that the real majority are also getting tired of the bile.

Who knows, maybe people will vote?

Where is your proof to back this accusation up? You just throw your crap into the fan and wait for the smell. Tell me how the Democrats love America more than the Republicans. It seems to me Democrats like to start things until it gets hairy and then they deny they had anything to do with it. Let's make the United States politically correct so everyone is happy here and the people who founded this country wouldn't recognize it. Lets sing our National Anthem in 10 different languages and ban Christmas because it offends someone. You guys are doing a hell of a job making this a great place to raise our kids. Keep up the good work and there won't be a English language to worry about.

Simple dude, most 9-11 conspiracy nuts are on the left, attack Bush on every issue right or wrong, guys like Willam Arkin on NBC news says the troops should be spit on when they come home, Harry Reid says we lost the war and as a former soldier who servered in Afgan and Iraq, I find that un-American. I do respect Liberals just not the ones who are like Rosie, Bill Maher, Sean Penn who lived with Saddam for 30 days, Harry Reid, 9-11 conspiracy nuts, NY Times editorial writers, but again I do enjoy speaking with open-minded and smart Liberals

That is absolutely not true. That is more Democrat propaganda used to attack support for the war. The only ones being called unpatriotic are the unpatriotic. Michael Moore and people like him who go to other country's and criticize America, or say our soldiers and the president are more dangerous than the terrorists are the ones Conservatives are talking about. That obviously isn't everyone who opposes the war.

I'm Republican and if you disagree with me I don't think you are antiAmerican and I think most Republicans feel this way too. It isn't you disagreeing we have problems with it's the way you do it. You are always complaining about how rotten the country is, how rotten the goverment is, how rotten the republicans are and it shows up in your answers and many times come off as unpatriotic. We aren't bitter or hate filled, we won in 2000 and 2004!

It's not un-American to disagree, debate and working to compromise has always been a big part of being an American. Even N. Pelosi is not a public enemy, she is actually a good American for standing up for her beliefs.

Anti-Americanism is a different thing. There are those who simply stand against American ideology. Michael Moore for example has never done a thing politically to change America, only to sensationalize his opinions against the current administration without any suggestions for improvement. He's anti-American and un-American

Hermann Goering, a leading member of the Nazi Party, second in command of the Third Reich, and commander of the Luftwaffe, once said:

"Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country."

Basically, our leaders are seducing the People by trying to turn the nation against those who disagree with them. They are taking their lessons from the Nazi party. Go figure.
