"Full House, a warm and snuggly comedy set in San Francisco, premiered on September 22, 1987 on ABC. The children were the daughters of TV sportscaster Danny Tanner (Bob Saget), who unexpectedly became a widower and was left to raise 6-month old Michelle (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen), 5-year old Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), and 10-year old D.J. Danny had a romantic relationship with another talk-show host named Vicki, which didn't work out. And of course, Michelle, Stephanie, and D.J. grew up, each adding her own friends to the mix.

Fans of Bob Saget's salty stand-up were bemused to see the comedian playing a loyal and doting family man in this light-hearted sitcom. Nevertheless, the uncomplicated, entertaining show was an instant hit with viewers, and ran for eight hug-filled seasons on ABC."
