depends on your state laws ,and how they define "full" time (usually its 40 hours in one work week). However, if you work over 40+ hours then you are paid overtime for any hours worked over that 40 hours (in your case you'd get 4 hours of overtime pay)

Though, if you work for three weeks straight over 30+ hours, then your employer is required to file you as full time and provide you with medical benefits (in some states, its as little as 20 hours in a work week for 3 weeks straight for medical benefits)

Per the letter from HR = you are a non-exempt employee who is paid on a salaried basis What this means is you are paid at your hourly rate. If you work less than 40 hours a week, the company does not dock your pay. When you work over 40 hours, you receive that overtime hourly equivalent. - it's 100% legal. You will be getting overtime on the $15 an hour job when you work it. This is how your pay will work: Your will be paid according to the job you do = if you are doing tech work you are paid $15 an hour, when you are doing other work you are paid the other salary. When you work overtime (over 40 in the week) the overtime pay will be based on the job you are doing at that time. If you work 40 hours during the week at your regular job = you get your regular salaried amount. When you work overtime on the weekends you will earn = $15 an hour plus the 50% overtime (remember overtime is only a 50% premium, not 150% premium) if you work 38 hours during the week and then the tech work = theoretically they could pay you: your regular salary which would include the 38 hour + any tech hours that bring you up to your salary amount. And then pay the premium on top of that.

Anything over 40 hours a week is considered overtime no matter if you are considered part time or full time. Part time employees generally work less than 40 hours a week. Check with the wage and hour board in the state of Texas. The number should be in the government pages of the phone book under state of Texas.

anything over 40 hours in one work week is considered overtime and you should get paid time and a half for the hours over 40. Make sure your boss doesn't screw you out of your hard earned money cause you are entitled to it. If he doesn't pay you overtime pay then you can take him to the labor board and sue for the money he owes you

by federal law you must get time and a half if you work over 40 hours in a week, unless you are salaried or on contract which I doubt you are.
