I haven't heard anything about Pelosi appointing "Rep Jefferson", so I can't comment on that one way or the other.

But the vow to get rid of corruption is a case of having your heart in the right place.

In order to clean up goverment and reduce corruption, she's going to need a lot more support from other members of Congress. Namely Republicans.

Not one person in either the House or the Senate can bring about that kind of change on her/his own.

And lets face it, politicians want what corruption gives them. I don't think politicians are going to line up to try and reform the government. They like their perks too much.

Pelosi needs help with that. And while we're on the subject, Bush could have had an impact on corruption, but he hasn't exercised the power of the Oval Office to improve anything in America.

I believe corruption in government is so far out of control we have no idea of the depths of it. I also believe all politicians hide under the umbrella of religion. The answer to your question is GREED.

Same reason she has Alcee Hastings on the intel com. She seems to think it is good to have bribe takers having access to highly classified info. That way she can be sure our enemies get their hands on it.

Because she was never really serious about it. She is a liar and only said what people want to hear to get elected.

She would have, he would have been in in Homeland Security. You probably think she meant gone from the government sector. You need to listen to what they are really saying.
