is it true that its a bad idea to look for a girlfriend at the bar?

not sure where to go to meet girls my age except the bar.

mmmm nothing ever came out of a relationship at the bars. Do you race your bike? Look there... look at places you like to go besides the bar..You like camping so look there the next time you go..I think all you will find at the bars are one night stands , which isn't bad, but if you are looking for a true relationship, look at the more respectful places you like to go...

Funny! I have been wondering the same thing about guys.There are a few nice girls there just out socializing and having fun. There is not much else to do in this small town and I love to dance. If she is willing to go home with you right away though probably not the best choice unless that is all you are looking for....Don't go out noticably looking to find a girl just go out and have fun with friends. You never know when you may meet someone but if not at least you will be out enjoying yourself. Those type of men are more attractive then the ones sitting alone drinking....

If that's the type of girl you want, then look at the bar.
~ You can meet girls at the grocery store.
~ At the library ( bring a kid to the story time )
~ Coffee shops. Go to the same shop say every morning, and get to see and know the other customers. If you dont like what you see, then try going every evening or something.
~ You can meet somebody through friends
~ You can wait until she finds you....

well how old are you? Yeah its a bad Idea to get girls at the bar, unless its to do them. If you find someone at a bar, it is very probable that they dont want stability, and are just out to have fun. Girlfriends are best found in other places. It also depends what kind of girl you want.

I have a regular hang out,my friends and I have been going there for years.Everybody knows everybody,that's how it's always been.If you don't have any respect for yourself,then they're not going to respect you either.Plus my friends and I stick together and watch each others back,you just don't know with some men out there.You can find a decent girl in a bar,but you have to be very picky.You have to make friends first,before anything else.Good luck.

Good luck!! I have the same trouble. But I just refuse to go to a club to meet someone. I'm done with all of that.

The problem is, where I'm from, that's pretty much what everyone does on the weekends. I get together with friends often, but we'll go have dinner, maybe a movie, or something like that, but most of the guys you meet there are either with someone or with there parents.

So whatta ya do?

Unless its a nice bar, Like a Club, Moose clubs are nice, its a chain one, Best western hotels sometimes has Entertainment, Some fancy Bar is nice, Not a Run down Bum bar, Try match .com on internet, My best girlfriend found a Boyfriend in her area, just type in match .com. youll find it, in meantime, wishing you best of luck

It all depends what kinda girl you are looking for, most girl that go to bars are pretty slutty and you know what they say "you can't turn a whore into a housewife" so you can find one you just have to be consious that if these girl are at a bar getting hammered they probably aren't the most innocent ones.
