if jimmy had not of been, stevie ray would not have been what he is. stevie is however a more refined guitarist, but jimmy created what these others are mimicking. stevie did not invent or reinvent the wheel, he just put chrome on it.

I love Stevie Ray, but Hendrix is the best there ever was or will be. They will both be missed.

Stevie Ray has terrifically calming music. But Jimi Hendrix - he can't be compared to anyone else. The music that came out of that man's brain was amazing! And he was ahead of his time, most black songwriters/singers stuck to the blues.

I love them both, but I got to say Stevie Ray Vaughn. He was the best. I have a bunch of his music, and wow, could he ever play.
