A) French...saved you from English oppression so you should love them.
B) Germans.....along with the Russian defectors, they won the space race for you.
C) English, well, we colonised the country for you. You are the descendants of the English.
And to the person who called the English reserved. Why not go to a football match or two. No doubt after you've been saved from the inevitable riots you'll think of the English quite differently.
I used to hate America for the attitude this questions asker has, but my opinions changed. I don't really see how you're that different from us.
Sure, you've only recently learned what it's like to be under the threat of terrorism. Take into account that I'm 27 and there hasn't been a day in my life that I've not lived through that. So even in that respect we're becoming more alike.
Whatever you lot say about Europe, we're more alike that you think. Why not embrace that and be thankful that like some bloke said, when the **** hits the fan, you have a friend who'll be there no matter what.
The world's a small place these days, we might as well all try and get along.
To the guy at the top, the English are not sissies.....so he can **** off and we're not snobs either.
I should add that I rather like America and still want to visit someday.

French = our first friend. We fight all the time, and cry when we don't get our way, but when you've been friends with someone for over 200 years, you're gonna have some arguments.
Germans = Good folk. Good beer. Weird porn. Love to travel overseas. Always nice. Seem to do their own thing.
British = Our relatives. And like all relatives, we fight a lot. But when the sh*t hits the fan, we're almost always on the same page. A bit more reserved, as opposed to us Yanks who generally wear our hearts on our sleeves. Overall, our best friends, even if we piss each other off from time to time.

It amazes me that anyone believes they can define a person by what country they live in. For instance, I live in America. I don't know one person with whom I agree on everything, or even most things.
We are all individuals. Many of us have some kind of special feeling about our country, but only because we were born there, not because any country is any more special than any other.
It's not the people of a country who cause problems -- it's the people in power who do. I'd hate to think that people would blame me for what the Bush regime has done, so I certainly don't blame others for what those in power in their countries have done.
A friend, of German ancestry, was very upset. Someone asked him why the German people didn't stop the Nazis. I told him, "The next time someone asks you that, ask them why no one is stopping the Bush regime." I think that pretty much says it all.

One word each? Well, I simply can't describe such things in one word, especially because right now there's a whirlwind of politics going on in my mind, but we'll give it a try:

Let's be sensible. There are 300 millions Americans; this site will crash. Ask a representative sample, for goodness sake. Honestly, some people.
