I will have to agree on the Blue Bell and Ben and Jerry's if I am purchasing from the grocery store otherwise it would have to be Marble Slab all the way.

There's a local Cincinnati company called Graeter's that makes all their own ice cream and it is the best. The only problem is there's always long lines when you go there, because everybody wants to get ice cream there. For more commercial ice cream, I love United Dairy Farmers (UDF). They are like a 7/11 or Circle K, gas and convenience store, but they have their own brand of ice cream.
