I was recently involved in a hit-and-run car crash. I was in the passenger seat of my van (my mom was driving) and we were driving down the road in the left lane. There was a long line of cars in the right lane, with an opening in the cars for an exit from a store parking lot. All of a sudden, an SUV comes barreling out of the exit. My mom slams on the brakes, but we were going too fast. Our cars collided, right front corner of ours to the left front corner of his. Luckily we were wearing seatbelts. The guy backs up, back into the parking lot and takes off like a bat out of hell. If he had waited 5 seconds to drive out, i would have been killed or seriously injured, and the as*hole runs off. He was never caught, even tho I got the make, model and part of the license plate #. I still hate driving, even tho the accident was in December. Luckily, neither me nor my mom were hurt, tho we were sore for a few days. Thanks for reading.

the worst inujries I ever had from car accidents were BECAUSE OF SEAT BELTS.

I have survived two vehicle rollovers and a head on crash at 45 MPH with no seat belt for any of them. I did not even get so much as a scratch from any of them.

However, I have had two serious back injuries about 15 years apart from low speed crashes (like 15-20 MPH) both times, the injuries were caused by the seat belts.
