Take it back to the dealer so they can charge some ridiculous amount for programming your little $4.00 key-less entry thing.
ADDED: Sorry, I'm a little grumpy for some reason.

it could be possible that you might have to reprogram the remote (not totally positive)? on some vehicles, when the battery goes out (or you change the battery, without backup power), certain things won't work (stereo, alarms, etc.). just give your local dealer a call (probably "parts"), and ask them about it. ;) g/l, sos
edit: which batteries show the correct voltage? if it's the remote battery, did you make sure to install it correctly?
more info plz.

It may have to be re-programmed. Or, the sending unit under the dash is bad. Take it to a mechanic who is good with electrical systems and he or she should be able to pin point the problem

you may have a bad key pad or a bad antitheft controller. if your vehicle is equiped with a side door keyless entry. the code is located in the drivers rear compartment. look for a little white box with numbers on it. these numbers are for your keyless entry.
