I've been on a "Do Not Call" list for many years, that I forgot all about telemarketers

One telemarketer put a guilt trip on me because I wouldn't donate money (I am a college student!). She said, "Well, if you don't donate $148 today, then 75 children will go hungry tomorrow because of you."
I lost it! I said to her, "You have no right to put that on me. I'm not taking food out of their mouths. I have my own bills to pay, and donate money through other organizations. You will take me off of your calling list and never call this number again. I'm hanging up now. Goodbye."
Just be straight with them, and firm, and don't let them manipulate you or guilt you into doing something you don't want to/can't afford to do.

Be well mannered and affected person. regardless of each thing they are purely human beings such as you and me attempting to place bread on the table, pay their charges and shop the wolf from the door. And No i'm not a telemarketer, nicely not purely yet, possibly sooner or later, its what I aspire too!! LOL

Listen up... this is Detective Stanton of the police department and you have called a crime scene..... Mr. has been murdered and I'm gonna have to ask you a few questions, so stay on the line! What is your full name? What is the nature of your business with Mr. When was the last time you spoke to him? Are you his gay lover?

"Please take my name and number off of your calling list."
By law, they have to do it then. If you're mean, rude, or say that your "not interested," they usually schedule a call back for the next day. Or, depending how horrible you are to them, they'll call you back in a few hours just to be spiteful.

i usually don't answer the phone...caller i.d. but if i do, i say no thanks, and take me off your list. now my son-in-law has a completely different approach. he talks to them forever. asks stupid questions, etc. one time, he star 69nd a gal back. she said, "sir, i am working out of my home. you do not have the right to call me here." so he starts asking her a bunch of stupid questions. she says she's attempting to cook dinner. he says, "well, how do you like it now? don't call me anymore."
