On the other hand, if you posted in this category by mistake, and you mean "gangster" in the original sense, then Ardys R and HoustonPackard have given you some good historical names--except that it's Capone, not Copone--and O-G Big $Pimpin$ some plausible contemporary ones.

Al Capone, Frank Nitti, Dutch Schultz, and yes, even the Fitzgerald boy whom fled to Reno and started a successful casino, perhaps from the funds he reportedly stole from the notorious Purple Gang after he left their employee as their bookkeeper. Italian Americans please note, although I started with a couple of historical Italian names, I included other persuasions (including my own) as well. You did request gangstER, not gangsTA, Asker as there is a definite distinction between organized crime and cRAP popups.
