I'm making curtains and need to iron the seams. Can I just use my Olfa board to iron or will the heat from the iron ruin it?

I wouldn't recommend it. If you are looking for a surface wider than your ironing board, you can purchase portable folding boards on line, You could also do what my mother did many years ago. She used several heavy blankets to protect the surface of the dining room table. She covered the blankets with a sheet, and used it as an ironing surface to press her curtains.

It may very well warp it, especially if the heat is very direct or strong.

(Also be caerful of standing or storing your self-healing mats verticallly or on top of anything that's not dead flat... doing that will also cause it to warp and the warp is impossible to get out as far as I know. For the same reason, be careful any time you take a mat in the car with you... it may get hot in the trunk, e.g., and most trunks aren't totally flat... BTDT!

It is not advisable to apply heat, even indirectly to a 'self healing' board as it may ruin it's ability to 'self heal'.
