Does holding your pee give you a bladder infection?

Question

I don't bleed, discharge or feel pain while urinating or blood, all is ok.But I have a weak interrupted flow of urine. Do you think I have something serious? I'm 21 male.
I used to hold my pee alot as a kid. Coz I'm hygiene-freak and don't like to use people's toilets, or school toilets. I know it's stupid, but that's me. My school toilets were really dirty. I'd have to wait till I get home.

Well if your a guy then i don't see a problem with holding your pee.You can pee standing up without touching toilets.I went through a bladder thing a few years ago and it's ok once in a while to hold your urine but not often because it does develop into a bladder problem eventually if you do it to much.Believe me the last thing you want is to have a bladder lift .I was there and it wasn't fun.Try bringing along seat covers with you when you go to a strange toilet because I hear you there.I won't go on strange toilets either and i'm a girl.Good luck and take care

You can get bladder stones, which are crystals of urine's chemicals, depending on what you eat and how much your body continues to withdraw water from the fluid. You are liable if you notice that your urine is a darker yellow instead of very pale. If you get stones, you will experience one of the more exciting pains in male health and may face surgery if a crystal forms large enough to block the urethra.
In addition, you are probably short changing the amount of water you are drinking to pull off this habit and that may be doing interesting things.
Since this is men's health, assuming you are male, if you can't pee without touching anything (and use paper towel on the faucets) you need some learning.

while I have the same mental problem when it come to public toilets im not really experiencing anything like you are so all I can give you is a smart *** answer and that is that Jim Carrey said it did in Liar Liar and he couldnt lie. Lame I know just trying to give a response though hehe

No, you should never hold you pee. That is not good. I know how some public facilities are, but sometimes, you have to take a chance and use them just make sure you don't touch anything in there without a paper towel.

well keeping your urine in makes it sorta release poison into your bladder so 9/10 sorry man but i think you do but you should really see your doctor.

no not if you did it at school and dont do it anymore it maybe bladder infection though but not from that. i would just go to your doctor and get it checked out.
