PAT PAT--- great answer.

Questioner---- Follow PAT PAT's guidelines and you will be way on your way. Make sure you allow yourself one day of rest in nbetween every two consecutive days of the sets, however.

Give PAT PAT ten points, and close this question.

I believe box jumps really helped me out. it really helps out with the explosion for that second jump after you've already jumped once.

What it is is that you have a 1 foot platform, a 3 foot platform, and a 5 foot platform, about 2 feet away from each other (you can change this to what you feel comfortable with later). You should be positioned facing the1 foot box so that you can jump from one box to the next box then to the next box, one right after the other in a line. Start by jumping on to the one foot box (should be easy), then taking your time, jump off that box into the space between the 1 foot and 3 foot box. As soon as you hit the ground, concentrate on exploding and jumping onto the 3 foot box as quickly and as stable as possible. Then do the same for the 5 foot....be careful though, cuz this one can be pretty difficult for some. Then jump off the 5 foot platform or box and do the same, even though there is no box there.

the most important goal of this exercise isn't the jump up to the next level, but what you do when you hit the ground. You concentrate first on landing and than bouncing right back up the second your feet hit the ground. This will help with those second and third jump and tip opportunities, and help with overall strength of your jumping and landing.

This should be done with a partner, and you should be pretty confident that you can clear that 5 foot box. Its really not that difficult (I used to clear it back in the day) but you could really hurt yourself if you misstep.

you should do about 10, along with whatever plyometrics other people will tell you.

Good luck.

If you're practically there on the ceiling, I might advocate striking a tape or rope some thing with marks out of your ceiling in order that you might have extra amusing figuring out that you'll be able to achieve larger and larger week after week. I was once doing all the ones in top institution and school (intruduced via PE lecturers), with none capabilities of the time period "plyometrics". I was once achieving for the basketball hoop on the very establishing and commonly while I acquired "lazy" the web would harm my hands... however I did have the thought wherein I was once after every soar. I think that it is extremely primary that you've got a target on your brain, and observe how near you're from the target whenever you installed any movement. Have amusing.
