Here's the MPAA definition:

"In the opinion of the Rating Board, this film definitely contains some adult material. Parents are strongly urged to find out more about this film before they allow their children to accompany them. An R-rated film may include strong language, violence, nudity, drug abuse, other elements, or a combination of the above, so parents are counseled in advance to take this advisory rating very seriously."

Unless a particular theater has an age restriction, you should be able to take your brother to the film. You might want to call ahead to the theater or check their website.

Yes, you can. If you're 17 or older, you can bring anyone under 17 to an R rated movie. At least, you can where i live.

Yes. As long as the minor is accompanied by someone over 18 they can see an R-rated movie.

You can, but if your parents disapprove, I would not recommend it. Actually, most kids 14 can handle anything an R movie can dish out, especially with big brother to answer questions or talk it over generally later. But it's not worth making a hassle with your parents over it.

Yup, as long as the minor is with an adult, they can go into an "R" rated movie. Hopefully, you're parents approve of him seeing the movie.

Best wishes.

legally you can bring your lil' bro, but you really should consider what movie your seeing, I wouldnt recommed something like Touristas, as it is for Mature audiences only and that doesnt just mean of age people, it means Heathly mentally and the like. Maybe you ought to see the movie alone yourself first and then decide.
