Nobody likes a corrupt democrat anymore than they like a corrupt republican. The jury will decide his fate. I believe he should resign because he is going to be more concerned with his defense than with doing his job. They had better hurry up with this indictment because the statute of limitations is almost up.

Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) issued the following statement regarding Jefferson's indictment:
"The charges in the indictment against Congressman Jefferson are extremely serious. While Mr. Jefferson, just as any other citizen, must be considered innocent until proven guilty, if these charges are proven true, they constitute an egregious and unacceptable abuse of public trust and power.
"As we have demonstrated in implementing tough ethics reforms and passing tough lobbying reforms already this year, Democrats are committed to upholding a high ethical standard and eliminating corruption and unethical behavior from the Congress."
i think that's what they'd say.

There is no difference between left and right. It's all the same people. Don't be fooled by the phony left/right paradigm. Notice how the Dems got us out of Iraq like they were voted in office to do? This coming from a former "lib."
Oh wait. They didn't. Hmmmm.

This is all Bush's fault. It's all part of the GOP fascination with sex. It's a coverup. Bush planted the money. Which Jefferson only accepted so he could give it to orphans. And anyway, it isn't bribery if he didn't actually do whatever it is they were paying him to do.

the real humorous part of this all became into whilst the FBI raided his Congressional workplace and the leaders from the two events spoke of as a gathering and informed the FBI, hi you adult men can no longer raid Congressional workplaces. it form of feels the politicos proceed to have self belief their regulations basically prepare to the basic persons, no longer the politically elite criminals.
