If you had been throwing up blood, your lightheadedness and dizziness could be from anemia due to the blood loss. Your doctor may have told you to eat iron rich foods or may have even given you some iron pills.

You are ill. I suggest you spend a few days in bed so that your body has time to recuperate. If the lightheadedness and dizziness continues, please notify your doctor (if you haven't already). It is important that he is aware of your health status.

Did your doctors tell you that you had anemia from the blood loss? You've probably been losing it for quite some time. That may be causing your dizziness and lightheaded feeling. Your blood circulates oxygen in your body and if there is not enough red blood cells, your brain does not get enough oxygen, especially if you have been relatively active. Even something as simple as walking around can trigger the reaction if you are anemic.

If the blood loss was severe enough you may not have a cycle. Many women who are anemic do not have their cycles. That does not mean, however you cannot become pregnant!

Like everyone else suggested, talk to your doctor or a PA or an RN. You need to have all the facts. Good luck, hun.

You could've had low blood sugar. Hopefully, this won't happen again, but if it does, check to see if you have any of these symptoms: * Nausea. * Extreme hunger. * Feeling nervous or jittery. * Cold, clammy, wet skin and/or excessive sweating not caused by exercise. * A rapid heartbeat (tachycardia). * Numbness or tingling of the fingertips or lips. * Trembling. * Mood changes, such as irritability, anxiety, restlessness, or anger. * Confusion, difficulty in thinking, or inability to concentrate. * Blurred vision, dizziness, or headache. * Weakness, lack of energy. * Poor coordination. * Difficulty walking or talking, such as staggering or slurred speech. * Fatigue, lethargy, or drowsiness.
