Ok.. I need help from all you windows xp experts

Background info: I have a computer, windows xp prof. Two Admin accounts, both password protected are on it. There is NO guest account. Whoever uses the computer must know either password. Me and my brother are both the admins. My mom is computer stupid.

Situation:

Because of an IDIOT situation my brother got into (dangerous myspace messages that my mom found out about offline), my dad forced my mom (parents separated) to hire someone to come and make a master password on our computer. I personally don’t want it to happen, but it wont bother me too much if it did. I feel, however, that it is unfair that I am the one who cant use the computer (my dad is controlling both of us) when my brother got into trouble on it. Anyway, I am not going to make it easy for some dude to just come in and put a password on our cpu so I have a plan. I am going to completely shut down the computer and when the guy comes he will have to turn it

on and then try to sign into an account to actually use Windows and install programs and stuff. But he wont know the password so he wont be able to succeed. I wont be in the house as he does it because I have work tomorrow when the guy comes by and my brother will be at my dad’s house.

My question: Will this smart cpu guy succeed at getting past the “to begin, click your username” screen to install his program? IF he does, can he find out about where I have been on the internet? Me and my brother both swore off myspace a couple weeks ago but of course we have still gone on it and myspace is all over my history. If he gets into the guest account (I activate it), then will he be able to do what he wants to do and not be able to see the files and history on me and my brothers’ acounts?

here's a good solution
but be carefull one wrong move and you can screw up your computer
hit the start-run type regedit hit enter hit hkey local machine-software-microsoft-windows nt-current version-winlogon-special accounts-user list
in there right click the window on the right click new-dword value put in there your user name exactly as it is in the user accounts hit enter
close regedit
your good to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NOW YOUR USER ACCOUNT IS INVISIBLE!!!!
the only way in to the computer is by the welcome screen you have to hit alt-cnt-dlt 2 times the you put in your user name and password and you in!!!!!!!
but i suggest you make a new user account for this that way your dad won't suspect anything
good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(ps. please rate)
thanks

All the safeguards you put in can be bypassed if he reinstalls the Operating System. If he doesn't reinstall, then you may want to check if there's a password on the actual "Administrator" account (not just account with other names with Administrator status).

You can also look into a BIOS password that prevents anyone without the password to even boot up the computer (check the screen to see what to press to access the BIOS setup as soon as you turn on the PC). This, however, can also be bypassed in most systems by removing the CMOS battery and clearing the memory.

So it all depends how computer savvy the guy is. If he's anything more than a novice, he can probably get around anything you put on to stop him.

Of course, any of these simple methods, you can use once he's gone and set things back the way you want. Keep in mind that data may be lost along the way if the hard drive is reformatted.

If he a smart person he will hit F8 on start up and logon to the account named "ADMINISTRATOR" ASAP Password it!!!!!
That account can delete passwords and change them! Also, Make Your passwords a ***** to guess, My advice is to make up a random chain of letters and numbers right them down and put them in a book on a certain page. And Besure he doesnt swipe your harddrive by doing a system restore...

Hi. Any geek worth his salt can get in. But there is always that reformat thing... Also please remember that if the tech finds any illegal stuff he is bound by law to report it in most states.
