Ok, heres the situation. I just purchased a 07' VW Rabbit. My 1st brand new car!! So excited, spent lots of money for this car. Now, I live in CT where we get a lot of rain and snow during the winter. I don't have a place to put my car neither to protect it from the rain and snow or anything. This auto armor that the dealer offered me is a 7 yr guranntee they protect the car inside and out. You'll never have to wax the car and it protects it against acid rain and stuff. If any stains in the car occur and I can't get it out, they replace it and clean it and all this crap. But the money is a killer, 500$$$ for this. What would you do? Is it worth it or not???? Does anyone have it? How is it?? PLEASE REPLY!!!

Unless they detail your car once a month for 7 years, my answer is NO.

2 things to make it simple:

You wouldn't go a week without a shower/bath for yourself, right ?
Neither should your car.

No wax will protect your car for a whole freakin year.
Not 100% anyway.

It likely works but the price is something the auto dealer dreams up. We just got offered the same thing on an 07 Corolla for $399.

try to find the actual company and find a private outfit to apply it. I found you doing exactly that search.

I never heard of such thing, if you take it make sure you keep your receipt and take the appropriate actions to preserve the warranty, don't abuse your car, they might refuse to repair/replace it. I doubt that you can do anything to protect your car when it comes to winter driving, the salt eats the poor metal away, water and rain itself shouldn't harm the car. You might also take in consideration to wash your car to remove the salt before it builds up and starts acting, you don't want to wait 'till its too late, then the 500$ comes in for the paint and body fills.

Its just cheaper to wash your car when its dirty, and it would cost about $250 to repaint your car if its damaged. Personally I think its just a way to get you to fork out more money, its not worth it.
