Hate is such a strong word. I would hope that you just have issues with people that you don't know. I can understand that. The world that we live in is not as friendly as it used to be. People lock their doors, and livle next door to people they don't even know, or will not take the time to get to know. Children are afraid to play in the streets for fear of kidnapping. People are afraid to work in certain places because they are always being held up. People steal from you, cheat you. I mean, the world is truly messed up. But, it is the people in the world who make the world. And when you have negative attitudes, you pass them on to others, especially children. Why don't you start one person at a time - just smile and speak. Then gradually engage in short conversations with someone you don't know. You might be in a grocery line - ask someone how their day was. give good feedback. I think that if you learn to open up a little more toward others, you will find that you don't really hate people afterall. Gunshy maybe and protective, but don't give up on everybody. You might meet me one day. I am a very friendly person and I might strike up a conversation with you. I would hope that you don't hate me before you get a chance to talk to me. We might have some great things in common! Afterall, we are both Yahoo Community Members. That's a start. There's nothing wrong with you. Good luck.

You're not alone at all, but... to the question:
Did any thing potentially traumatizing happen to you during your formative years? You might want to see a counselor of sorts, and make sure that you have no chemical imbalances, check your lifestyle, see if the way you live is making you unconsciously miserable. Try to be more patient with the people around you.

It's called anti social behavior disorder, and you should seek psychiatric help, Listen I'm not trying to be snarky with you here, alot of times I feel the same way, people are rude and nasty and just plain un trustworthy.
however, there are exceptions to every rule, try to stay focused on the people that you love and take it one day at a time, it will help you if you talk to trained professional...good luck to you.

Maybe because you actually hate yourself. From the kind of life that you have described, you have no reason to hate others. But if you do hate others the way you say, then why are you asking for OTHERS for advice? Because since you have openly asked for advice, you're receiving it from dumba**s and dirty whores (by your choice of words). I'm going to say that you hate yourself.
