i know you're joking, but the sun dance is not a dance to bring the sun. it's a self-sacrifice ceremony in which the dancers have their chests or backs pierced with eagle claws/wood skewers and are then attached to branches of a sacred tree, by ropes or leather tethers. they fast and dance while gazing at the sun for 4 days. on the 4th day, they break away from the tree to which they are tethered. this is just a very basic explanation of the ceremony.
and fyi, "eskimo" is an insulting term to most inuit ppl.
