Has anyone ever restored an old wooden canoe?

It is in pretty good shape except the front bow seems to be separating a bit. Is there some recommended way to redo this?

yah probably, is there a way to weld wood? umm i would say sand a lot and cover in a water protectant of some type like sealer. but u may want to use staples or some wood glue.....

i really dont know much about this, ive never had a wooden canoe, but many metal ones that i make myself......im a welder.
