Like I have mentioned in my previous questions, I am a direct descendant of many royals, including Edward I, Henry III, Henry VII, Mary, Queen of Scots, James I, Charles I, and Charles II. My family was nobility until that part of my family moved to America. Is there some way I could get my family's titles and such back and become nobility in England or Scotland?

I have documents that can prove it. I just don't know how I can convince UK officials to grant me noble status.

And why would you want to be officially recognised as noble? Let your actions speak for yourself and be noble due to your good deeds, not because of an inherited piece of paper. I know many "noblemen" who don't need a piece of paper to prove their nobility.

---I understand that Prince William is available.

---Move to the United Kingdom, live there five years (three if you marry a subject), and take the citizenship test. There after, earn a lot of money and/or do something truly momentous whereupon the Queen (if she lives that long) or Charles will make you an honorary knight of dame. Of course, by that time, Scotland may be a Republic.

---Buy a title: http://www.english-titles.co.uk You won't fool anyone, but this isn't the first time it has been done. Since the middle ages, selling titles has been a money-making business.

---Wait for everyone else to die off; Prince Philip, a fifth-cousin of Queen Elizabeth and one of the many descendants of Queen Victoria, for instance, is 468th in line for succession. This last option may take a long time since it has been estimated that at least 80 percent of all people in the United Kingdom are in some fashion directly descended from royalty--it's a small island.

As an American citizen, no, I don't believe that you can "reclaim" your ancestral nobility, as Americans we do not have royalty as such.

The only way I know would be move to England or elsewhere in the UK, renounce your US citizenship, become a citizen of the crown, & petition whomever to regain your family titles. I'm sure a barrister or solicitor in the UK would be able to help with those details.

Good luck!

Yes you can, but it's probably not cheap or easy. I know There are three ways to be knighted. Unfortunately i can't remember them or the site. I don't know if you can reclaim a Noble status. Although you do seem to have enough of the bloodline that it would definitely worth doing or at least try to do.

Just because someone is a direct descendants of some royals doens't mean you can claim a title. To claim a tile you have to have prove that. I by this I mean prove to the House of Lords that you are a direct descendant of someone. If they find your claim to be false its throwing out of the House of Lords.

Well, aside from the wonderful advice you have received from the others...my advice to you would be to....marry a princess! Get your lineage confirmed by the law, and find a princess or a lady or a baroness or a duchess who is nobility and marry her. That's a fast track way to do it. Best of luck ot you...

Since Maggiellen has already given you good information, I just have to answer this one a little differently; forgive me ahead of time, please.

You can change your user name to the Duchess of something or other and ask silly questions in the Royalty category on Yahoo Answers. That's good enough for at least one other person.

ok.. remember.. tongue in cheek and just kidding around. (with you)
