I several watersnakes coiled in a bush and I was sort of freaked out, but fascinated at the same time.

A water moccasin. And yes, I was scared because I knew those were poisonous. But I had a shovel with me at the time and chopped off the wee beastie's head.

I confess, that is the one animal that freaks me out! I was on the subway here in nyc and this guy had a bag on his lap, and it moved and then he opened it and ...well i didnt want to look like a wuss so i just sat there but i was bugging! it was "snakes on a train!"

I picked up a D-Back Rattler with a gloved hand one time while raking leaves. In reflex mode I threw him about 30 feet over my back fence and never saw him again.

A copperhead and YOU BET I WAS AFRAID!I'm not afraid of a snake if I know what kind it is and if it's poisonous or not. They are good for keeping mice and other rodents away. My advice just look, don't touch, unless you know what you are touching!
