The answer is usually no in most cases. However, if you were purchasing a Delta 2 handle tub shower type valve, Delta's valve has a union built into the valve on the hot and cold side with the option to use either a threaded or soldered connection. Single handled valves are usually of the soldered variety due to the fact that any future service only requires removing the cartridge from the front side. I hope this helps.

I even have the brita pitcher because of the fact the faucet attachment seems clunky and cumbersome for my sink area. the brita filters make the water scent and style clean, we've exceptionally stressful water around here. as a sidenote, the Culligan pitcher filter out refills fit the brita pitcher, the two use charcoal filtration, and that they fee slightly much less to change. they say to alter the filters each and every 6 to eight weeks yet i pass 5 or 6 because of the fact i exploit lots of water.

The union comes with everything. Including taxes.

If you are speaking of the shower valve assembly, not usually. Most have female threads that you screw a fitting into.
