The original title is Neon Genesis Evangelion. Everyone refers to it as Evangelion for short.

Neon Genesis Evangelion (Shin Seiki Evangelion), is also commonly referred to as NGE, Eva, or Evangelion. They are one and the same.
The series was followed by three movies: Death and Rebirth and The End of Evangelion in 1997, and Revival of Evangelion in 1998. Death and Rebirth is a highly condensed re-edit of the series (Death) plus the first half of The End of Evangelion (Rebirth). The two movies were then re-edited and re-released as a single movie, Revival of Evangelion.
Gainax confirmed a new animated film series called Rebuild of Evangelion, consisting of four movies to be released in 2007 and 2008.
When one says Eva or Evangelion, it usually refers to Neon Genesis Evangelion Series. All are good.
