We've all probably met one without realizing it or met someone who we think could be one, but have you ever knowingly met somebody actually diagnosed? An acquaintance, relative, etc. What was it like to be around them?

I have been studying this subject for some time because I believe my father is a sociopath/psychopath. He scares me. What scares me the most about him is his disconnection from people. I have always believed he either has or could kill someone. He use to kill our animals with a ball bat for the simplest of reasons. He only moves forward without regard to the people he has hurt behind him. He never looks back and never feels regret.

Yes, I've actually met 'both' psychopaths and sociopaths ... but I'm a psychologist, and I was the 'lead therapist' on the city's 'flying squad' so I was 'bound to meet them' ... and they were 'pretty darn normal' if you didn't 'think too hard' about what they were 'doing' when the police got called!

I had a friend with multiple-personality disorder. Before being diagnosed, she used to scare me. We'd be out somewhere and out of nowhere, her sweet personality would disappear and the meanest woman ever replaced her. Other personalities were a little girl, and a teenager. She suffered some pretty bad abuse during those years, so I guess that's where it all came from.

Even after i had a child, he still would not. he was weird!!! I eventually got a restraining order on him which he violated. He even started phrank calling my fiancee, he got the #, do not know how but he did!! We sent the cops to his house numerous times to tell him to stop and he would....for a week and then do it again....they have to physically hurt you before the cops will actually step in which is crazy

Nope. Just criminals. More often than not in public service jobs and government than street riff raff. I don't personally consider psychology and psychiatry a legitimate trade. Has too many similarities to animism/witchcraft.

i think of i'm a a sociopath. in line with danger i'm in common terms answering this question simply by fact i prefer 10 factors. My best concern is that each and all the sentiments I certainly have for others is in simple terms to make myself have faith that i in my opinion do care approximately them. I had a drug situation and that i taken care of those that ought to grant me drugs like my ultimate acquaintances, I nevertheless do no longer comprehend if i replaced into being truthful or if it replaced into in simple terms simply by fact they might help me get what i wanted. I do have an inner experience that one and all friendships could be approximately mutual help, and if i'm with somebody and it feels as though we are only dropping time and not progressing everywhere then i visit detach from that comradeship. i'm seeing a therapist approximately my thoughts and he or she says that they are ideas led to by utilising a unfavourable self image, yet even in doing that i'm seeing a therapist in common terms for my very own self income, even however the therapist is asserting that she is gaining information of extra from me than i'm from her. i do no longer comprehend what is going on and that i'm perplexed. I certainly have an great love for animals, I even watch the floor while strolling on a sidewalk and pass out of my thank you to make confident that i do no longer step on ants, yet i've got faith as though i do no longer provide poeple the comparable attention. i've got faith gentle on my very own and it takes me an exceedingly long term to experience gentle around persons or maybe then I nevertheless have my doubts that they are being truthful in direction of me. i'm uncertain why i'm so sceptical yet one concept is that i replaced into invited to a birthday celebration while i replaced right into a infant and it regarded like i replaced into in common terms invited so the others would have somebody to %. on. i do no longer comprehend anymore.

ive known a few. you cant trust them, cause they have very little or no conscience. all you can do is beat the sh*t out of them a couple of times so they fear you. other than that, watch your back at all times. usually they are really intelligent in some respects so they can fool you. they are good at hiding the person that they are.

Well, I do believe my ex-boyfriend would fit that diagnosis. He has absolutely no conscience and uses people strictly for his own gain without any qualms about their feelings. He is extremely charming, but really has no redeeming qualities.
