When It becomes all consuming. You cant do anything else but think of sex and you act out these cravings. Some people it is once a day other people it can be 10 or more times a day. It isn't about the amount it's about the constant craving and being unsatisfied after sex that is the problem that leads to sexual addiction

I would say if you need to have it atleast once a day you may have a problem with sex. Since most marriages the couple has sex maybe once or twice a week on average maybe more for the newlyweds and the ones trying to concieve.
In reality though most couples are lucky to do it twice a month
especially if kids are involved. I think when it is the only thing you have n your mind day in day out then it is a problem.

Sex becomes an addiction when it interferes with your ability to function in the real world. When you feel like you "can't live without it" and you have to interrupt your day, or take risks (i.e. multiple partners, prostitution, excessive amounts of sex in public) to get your "fix".
I would say that most people wouldn't think that sex 5 times a week shows addiction -- I think most newly married (and together) couples have sex that much. I often have sex 5 times a weekend.

At least 3-4 or 5 times would have suited me fine. If i am in love that is. That is just how i feel about it some people may like it 3-4 times a day . I don't think there should be a limit.

its really not a specific number of times a week, its just depends on the couple, some like it all the time, some like it barely ever. If you and ur partner are happy why worry? now, if you were only sleeping around with whoever would have you, then it would be a problem.

anything can be additictive you know when you can't live without it talk about it all the time think about it all the time it runs you you don't run ityou feel agitated when you don't get it. Think about your body a man using your internal parts for a punching bag just to get a nut. Anything can be to obsessive have sex to be pleasured not to erase hurt and pains or thats the only times I feel loved or get affection.I didn't mean to offended you or any men out there be blessed

I dunno...
At what point does coffee become an "addiction?"
At what point do Little Debbie Snack Cakes become an "addiction?"
Addiction is such a pejorative word; normally used regarding chemical dependancy.
Why should sex be considered in that vein?
Every person's sex appetite is as individual as their appetite for anything else; music, food, recreation, NASCAR....take your pick, my friend.

It's an addiction when you can't control yourself. Hypersexuality is one of the manifestations of bipolar disorder. There is help in the form of therapy and sometimes meds, but you need to recognize first that you have a problem.

i don't believe a specific number of times/ week answers the question.. but, maybe if one demands it more than the other can provide? like 3-4x/day... and if the addictions out of hand and the partner is looking at others to help with their urges? my thoughts..
