If you look at history, they fail for the following:

1. Evil and corrupt

2. Become too complacent and others take them over.

3. Become too relaxed, too socialist and slowly give the country away.

Number one and two usually end up on conquest or over thrown by their own citizens.

The third one is what we see happening right now. We gained our freedom searching for the freedom of religion, freedom from persecution and founded the nation on the principal of God.

We have gone full circle and become a welfare state, more worried about what others think of us than what we have become. Slowly, we will dwindle away and like Kruschev said in the 60's ( at the UN when he beat on the desk with his shoe) " America will be beaten from within and without firing a shot". Take a look around, its happening as we speak.

Illegal immigration, taxing the working man, companies outsourcing due to the red tape and government sticking their nose in where it don't belong.

It is the people that fall. Especially in America where the government is of the people, for the people, and by the people. Well the people don't learn about the issues and take part in their civic duty to get off their @sses and vote. America is so split down the middle with the idiots that never even voted screaming the loudest how our government sucks. It's run by big business now and people that have never had to work for a living. (not saying they haven't worked, just that they never needed to in order to feed themselves.) This administration thinks that it knows what is best for America and the people that follow it don't give a thought to how most of the taxes that they were getting back before are going to the ultra rich now, and that they are not considered smart enough to know how to spend their own money, nor smart enough to make thier own choices over their own bodies. This administration tells them what is right and what is moral, while it flouts its lies and immoralities in the face of the American people. And then they want to turn around and tell the other side that they are stupid because they believe this adminstration is corrupt.

And here is something to think about. All the people that voted for republicans because they are pro - life... Being pro choice doesn't mean someone will choose to have an abortion,it just means that someone is not willing to take away that option for someone else, and with all the abortions that are being done...if they think that no republicans are having them or no Christians are having them then they are more delusional than I thought in the first place.

Because they don't do what's right for the people in general. That doesn't mean social programs. That means encouraging private enterprise and growing their economies, while curbing abuses.
