You either like the guitarists or you don't. Seriously, it's not like there is a conspiracy for Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton to be praised so highly by many people. It's not like there is a conspiracy to not mention Chet Atkins or Jason Becker as much as their fans would like. Therefore, there is no such thing as an "overrated" or "underrated" guitarist. I can't make it any more simple than that. If anything is overrated, it is the use of the words like "overrated" and "underrated"
