Hilary Clinton on the last debate said her fellow candidates views were about the same but they had a huge difference of opinion with the Republicans. How many of you think that the Democrats have no plans and the Republicans are the best party to protect our nation against terrorists?

the democrats plan is to destroy the patriot act, to stop the use of warrant-less phone taps, raise taxes, increase the welfare state so that they can have more control over our lives. they want to have socialized health care when other countries are going bankrupt from it, in Canada you have to be put on a wait list to get a surgery in Britain if you are smoker you go to the bottom of the surgery list which they plan to implement either this year or DEC. of next. democrats believe in open borders as do some republicans. but republicans do believe in less government, they believe in the individual, in business i for one do not plan on being poor, and i have two parents i do not need the democrats to be my mommy and daddy like they want to. they want to control every aspect of our lives.

i have to add one more thing because i saw a comment about high gas prices in order to lower the gas price we need to lower the amount of taxes the government collects on gas prices, the government collects anywhere from 50-60% in straight profit from gas tax alone remember the gas station owner i believe in wisconsin who offered discounts on gas to seniors citizens and people who supported the school clubs and what did the state say to him, they said he cannot sale gas below what the state tax rate was for the gas. we need a reduction of taxes and the democrates want to increase it anyway they can

Believing that our nation is even a fraction of a bit safer than it was in 2001 is complete Republican spewed nonsense that is a fear-inducing excuse to keep people voting for their flawed policies.

My God, I don't understand why people don't see this for what it is. We are no more safe now than we were 6 years ago. There was a plotted attack in the New York City subway systems last year that would've went through (it was a chemical attack), but the "terrorists" as so many are classifying this group of people, canceled it last minute.

The United States had no information about this until AFTER they cancelled it.

I am so sick of people being lulled into a false sense of security by assuming that Republicans are the only party that want to protect America.

While we're at it, let's protect America from all the gays and immigrants, too. Because, you know, election issues like gay marriage and abortion are far more important than, say, feeding the starving in our country, or the war that has no point.

You can't go into a country who has been warring for longer than our country has even existed, and expect to change things so quickly. The "terrorists" are an unseen terror, and you're just as stupid as Bush is if you think you can "beat" terrorism.

Probably for the last 8 years the United States has been in more turmoil than any years before. Terrorist threats and actions on our land and a senseless war are just a few. Hell, do you realize 8 years ago gas was $1 a gallon and it is now $3? If we could get a democrat to change that around I would be a happy camper. OBAMA IN '08!!!!!

Because if Republicans win then America is screwed. Democrats are trying to save this country from the republicans.

Seems a reasonable question to me. None of the democrat candidates are equipped to be Commander-in-Chief. They are all being hamstrung by the virulent anit-war part of the democratic party. They lack experience, a plan and the will to deal with terrorism.

They prefer to think of terrorism as a criminal act and it should be addressed by the criminal justice system. That is flawed thinking. The criminal justice system is engaged after a crime has been committed. As we have seen on 9/11 that is too little too late. These are acts of war to be dealt with by the use of military force.
They do not have the stomach for it.

There might be half-a-dozen dinosaurs out there who would agree with you... But after 5 years of War, a doubling of gas prices, and daily fear-mongering about terrorists hiding behind every tree- most of us are ready for the Democrats to take over the Oval Office next year -the way they did the House & Senate this year.

You got to be kidding, Bush went in to Iraq without a plan, they want that killer out of office and so do 70 % of the people in the good old USA. He is a complete freak of nature and he hatched out of a big egg that was full of insects and worms that got into his brain and are multiplying more each day. Don't you notice how he blinks that means some more are feeding off what brain that is left, their hatching out more everyday, that is why he starts waving, waving and waving because their breeding..

I'm not sure either party has a real plan to protect our nation, but Big Easy E 10 is a silly boy to even think what he said.

They want to be in power plain and simple. I think the Republicans are the only viable choice for protecting us. The dems obviously are uninterested.
