Hard working High quality, why? Sure you have a worker who is fast, but inconsistent, and you have deadlines to make, with the high quality hard working, you know that over 90% of there work will be correct, and as such you can price and schedule the work, if they are fast but inconsistent you cannot. One day they might be at 80% acceptable the next day 30%, you cannot run a profitable, supply line like that. In addition the costs of all the waste that must be thrown out, or reworked. Rework takes twice as long.

It depends on the job, and the quality of product I'm interested in producing.

If I'm running a factory that produces cheap throwaway gimmicks, I'll go for speed every time. If I'm making handcrafted cabinets, I'll want high quality work, but don't take forever or the profits go away.
