In how to save a life (the fray) i thought instead of "pray to god he hears you" I though he was saying "I paid a guy to kiss you"

In some Sheryl Crow song she was saying "the first cut is the deepest", I thought she was saying "the first God is the diva". I thought she was nuts!
I have terrible hearing (I'm only 17), and an even worse time of trying to understand people talking, let alone singing...

In the old song "LOUIE LOUIE" by the Kingsmen---it has NEVER really been truly told the exact words of that song... they are supposed to be dirty but I don't know---there was even an FBI investigation over the lyrics to the Kingsmen's version of this song (at least the KINGSMEN'S version)... Everybody I ever know just always made up their own words and sang them loud and proud as if they were SURE their lyrics were correct..... amazing the influence a single song can have on people.

How about THIS one!!!
The song "King Of WIshful Thinking" by Go West (from the Pretty Woman movie), he was singing, "I'll pretend my ship's not sinking", but it sounds like he's saying, " I'll pretend my s**t's not stinking"!!! Hilarious, huh?
